Report cards of the 4th classes

How quickly time flies

It seems only a short time ago that the girls and boys, clearly smaller, with a seemingly huge satchel on their backs and a seemingly infinitely large sugar cone in their arms, celebrated the start of school. On 14.07.2022, it was that time again for 41 pupils of the International Primary School Geithain. In their festive red gowns and their hats, the ceremonial handing out of certificates of the two 4th classes took place in the community center of the town of Geithain. The third classes had prepared a great program with dancing and singing, which earned a lot of applause.

In the 4 years of elementary school, the children have accomplished and achieved a lot. At the beginning, they had to walk to the Paul Guenther School every day for almost 2 months because our school was not yet fully ready for them. They have mastered Zoom lessons and homeschooling, learning not only reading, writing and arithmetic, but also that sometimes you have to try harder and sometimes less. They have learned how to solve problems, have made new friends, have become more courageous and dare to try something and the best - they have all successfully completed the first school section. Some of them with particularly good performances. For this, Vincent Pfefferkorn, Helena Töpfer, Rosalie Otto, Anouk Mann and Viktoria Gerstberger were awarded, who achieved averages of 1.1 and 1.0 respectively. The throwing of the hats at the end of the event was certainly the sign for many: "The elementary school years are over, we have all made it".

A big thank you also goes to Mrs. Petersen, who accompanied the event with her music students with festive music and Mrs. Starke who designed the flower decoration.

The team of IPS Geithain wishes all students to be proud of what they have achieved and to be curious about the next stage of their lives - curious about upcoming experiences, curious about other people, curious about life. It was a great time with the girls and boys of the Wolf and Koala classes during the 2018 - 2022 school years, and we look forward to seeing them again!
