On Wednesday, May 7, the time had finally come: the meerkat class set off on a very special excursion. They went to Monkeytown in Großpösna. There was already excitement in the air in the morning. In the meerkat room, we first fortified ourselves with a delicious breakfast. Then we were off! Together we walked to the train station and took the train for half an hour to the fun and games paradise. After a short walk, we were finally standing in front of the indoor playground - and from then on it was time to take off our shoes and let off steam! We climbed, crawled and ran everywhere. The glow-in-the-dark slide was definitely a highlight, as were the trampolines and the soccer area. At some point, hunger kicked in - high time for a break with chips and nuggets for everyone. Mmmh, that was delicious! With full bellies, there was still a little time to enjoy the last few minutes before we made our way back.
But then the next little adventure awaited us. At the station, we found out that our train was delayed. In the end, we even had to get off early and take a short break in Bad Lausick. But the meerkats wouldn't be the meerkats if they let this spoil their mood! We passed the time with little games and our new souvenirs from Monkeytown. After what felt like an eternity, we finally arrived back in Geithain - tired but happy. We will remember this day for a long time to come!
