... was the motto for the fourth classes of IPS Geithain in the last week of October, because: the
bike test was coming up.
The children had been cramming theoretical knowledge for weeks beforehand.
Give way, turn left or the components of a bicycle...
Everything had to be studied in detail if you wanted to get the bike pass.
After passing the
theory test, the children finally got on their bikes and rode through the "traffic" of the training ground for the first time in the wind
and weather.
Under the
strict eyes of the police officers, the children had to drive around obstacles, turn in accordance with the rules
, start up and dismount.
Many a cyclist realized that real cycling on
the road has little in common with jetting through fields and forests.
The cold autumn wind
did not make the task any easier.
The young cyclists braved the cold with hot tea and warm blankets
until, at the end of the two days, they proudly
held their bike pass in their hands.
