A day at the forest education center

On 13.11.24, the fourth grade classes and their class teachers and educators went to Oberholz to the forest education center.

In the fantastic log cabin on site, the pupils were able to put their knowledge of the animals, functions and plants of the forest to the test. The numerous prepared forest animals that the children were able to see were particularly illustrative.

After refreshing and expanding their knowledge with the help of the two forest educators, they then went to the area around the log cabin. Classes 4a and 4b then demonstrated their teamwork skills in the team games that took place outside. These included a relay race in which the children had to stack a small pile of wood as quickly and neatly as possible. Everyone pulled together and had great fun while exercising in the fresh air.

The highlight of our visit to the forest education center was an extended walk through the forest. The children and adults enjoyed the peace and quiet of the forest, but also learned lots of new things from the forest educators who accompanied us. After the walk, we went back to the log cabin, where we said goodbye to the educators after a final team game with an extended thank you.
