Bicycle tests in April

From April 14 to 17, the fourth classes of the IPS Geithain went to the traffic playground in Geithain. The first two days, on Monday and Tuesday, the penguins were allowed to practise and on Wednesday and Thursday it was the polar bears' turn. Two police officers spent a day with each class practicing traffic rules and safe cycling. The children demonstrated the knowledge they had learned in science lessons and consolidated it with the police officers. Particular emphasis was placed on turning correctly, riding past obstacles and, of course, riding off and stopping at the side of the road. Many of the children brought their own bicycles with them to practise and take the test, which were first checked for road safety by the officers. In addition to training on the simulated roads with real traffic signs, there was also time for team games for the group whose turn it was not. On the second day, the tests were already scheduled. Despite great excitement, all fourth graders managed to get a bike pass and are now ready to ride on public roads with or without an escort. We wish our fourth graders a good and safe journey at all times! Always a safe journey!
