Stop bullying at the International Primary School Geithain

Carsten Stahl is a dedicated anti-bullying coach who is particularly committed to raising awareness and preventing bullying in schools. He conducts workshops and seminars to sensitize pupils to the issue and promote respectful interaction.

On March 20, he visited the international schools in Geithain, where he spoke to the pupils about bullying as part of a "Community Day for Respect and Tolerance". He emphasized that bullying is a problem for society as a whole that begins in elementary school and is particularly prevalent in the years between fifth and eighth grade.

In order to get to the root of the issue, Carsten Stahl, bursting with strength and with a deep voice and, as he himself says, a "Berlin muzzle", became very gentle for our primary school pupils in the morning and brought his gripping story closer to our children. Many reacted very emotionally, cried and needed support from their friends to regain their composure. Others questioned their own actions and finally all the children at our school signed a pledge to fight bullying together at our school that day.

After the gripping events for our pupils, an event was held in the afternoon for the teachers of our schools, where we were again sensitized to situations and learned recommendations for dealing with affected children and their parents.

A holistic problem requires holistic solutions. The day was rounded off with a parents' evening, where parents learned what moves their children and how they can counteract the bullying issue to protect their children. For a long-term effect, Carsten Stahl is now making himself available to our association as a coach, working with a number of voluntary and selected children from our third grade. They are trained to mediate conflicts and say NO to bullying.
